HP5082-7395  Hex  4 x 7 LED Display by Hewlett Packard.  

Luminosity rank:  "F" ,  no decimal points are built into this device.   

Package:  hermetically sealed glass (13.5 x 10.2mm face) and ceramic Wide DIP8, gold plated pins.   

Dual marked with later 4N54 industrial grade markings (which were not gold plated ! )

Description: this clever little display only needs 4 data inputs (Hex 8,4,2,1)  to output 16 states (0-9) and (A-F)  , sending pin 5 high latches the last state using the onboard memory. Pin 4 will blank the display without wiping the memory.
